HERMÈS Un Jardin sur le Toit Eau de Toilette
THE CREATION
The Un Jardin sur le Toit Eau de Toilette unveils the secret of a hidden garden in the heart of Paris. A natural space nestled on the rooftop of the Hermès fashion house at 24, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. This fragrance, created by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena in 2011, pays homage to this joyful and festive garden.
THE OLFACTORY NOTES
The fruity and vegetal Un Jardin sur le Toit Eau de Toilette captures a crisp apple tree with notes of a juicy pear tree that permeate the Parisian atmosphere.
THE OBJECT
The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, is inspired by the lines of vintage car headlights. The glass of the bottle comes alive with a vibrant, luminous, and striking green. Philippe Dumas, a member of the Hermès family, created the illustration of this garden that adorns the case with an extraordinary view of the city.
THE PARFUMS-JARDINS COLLECTION
The Parfums-Jardins collection is the meeting point between the essence of a place, the perfumer's source of inspiration, and the theme chosen by the House of Hermès each year to illustrate its creation. An olfactory journey that invites you to savor every shared moment and pursue the desire for freshness, to dream, and to escape.
“A festive garden, a garden that does only what it wants, bathed in light.” Jean-Claude Ellena's *Un Jardin sur le Toit* is a lively and humorous tale. It tells of a secret garden hidden in the heart of Paris. It is a suspended garden, perched atop the roof of the Hermès building at number 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré. An apple tree, a pear tree, and a magnolia tree in the Parisian air, along with wild herbs, create a fragrance of light and pleasure, crisp and cheerful.
