THE ORDINARY GRANACTIVE RETINOID 2%: This formula combines two next-generation forms of retinoid in a combined weight concentration of 2%:
- Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, a highly advanced form of retinoid, offering its best performance against the signs of aging compared to retinol, retinyl palmitate, and nearly all other forms of retinoid;
- A sustained-release form of pure retinol in a protective capsule system. The use of both forms of retinoid minimizes irritation associated with retinoid use, while delivering superior visible results.
Note: Retinoids can make skin more sensitive to UV radiation. Sun protection is particularly important when using retinoids. This product should not be used in conjunction with other retinoids, including retinol or retinoic acid.
It is not an acne treatment. Acne-prone skin may experience a temporary increase in acne during the first few weeks of using any form of retinoid, including those used in this formula.
