HERMÈS Terre d'Hermès Eau de toilette
THE CREATION
In 2006, Jean-Claude Ellena conceived Terre d'Hermès, an Eau that links man to his origins, to the source of his creative power. Terre d'Hermès speaks of man's relationship with the earth, his humble and harmonious dialogue with nature and the elements. Since 2016, Christine Nagel, Hermès perfumer, has focused her attention on Terre to explore new possibilities. THE OLFACTORY NOTES Terre d'Hermès, a mineral and woody fragrance, combines the power of cedar and the splendor of grapefruit with a vibrant flint note. THE OBJECT Viewed from the ground, the bottle rests on an orange H that leaves its mark on the earth. From the sky, the light reflects off the metallic shoulders. Between them, the transparency of water.
THE HERMÈS DETAIL
Once in hand, the Terre d'Hermès bottle reveals numerous details: the maison's iconic upholstery tack, the sliding stopper that releases the atomizer, etc.
Conceived by designer Philippe Mouquet, it is inspired by a travel kit bottle preserved in the Emile Hermès Museum.
